My Travel Plans for the Year Ahead

By  |

Well, the last time I posted on this blog was more than six months ago. In truth, I had no real plan or direction for No Hanging Around over the past year and resorted to neglecting the site altogether. However, I have since decided that this would be the perfect place to document my journey as an Irish travel blogger and my travels around the world.

With this in mind, I would like to give a brief outline of my travel plans for the year ahead. Although these are likely to change at some point, I hope to stick with this plan in order to continue moving toward my goals and objectives for the year.

My Travel Plans for the Year Ahead

When I say the year ahead, I mean – right now. I am in Calgary, Canada at the moment and will stay here with a friend for the next few weeks. Honestly, my friend wanted the company and the move would help me save money while I get my freelance content business back up and running.

In the month of November, I will travel to Southeast Asia and spread my time between Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam for six months. I am excited for this period as this will be a great time to create an enjoyable routine and lifestyle while working hard online.

Later next year, I will also travel back to East Africa where I will be running at least two small group adventure tours in Kenya.

Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and the Next Long Distance Adventure

As you may know, I have somewhat of a reputation for taking long distance human powered adventures. In other words, I enjoy walking for extremely long periods and enduring ample pain in various pockets of the world. Four years ago, I cycled across Africa and this year, I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in America. Over the next few months, I will also be planning the next of these adventures which is likely to take place the following year.

Anyway, these are my plans for the year ahead and they are sure to be exciting. If you happen to be in any of the above destinations at the same time, I would love to hear from you. Otherwise, thank you for visiting my blog and I will talk to you next time!
